Our Distillation Capabilities Include

1. Atmospheric Distillation Units (ADU)

Primary Fractionation with Robust Throughput

Designed for bulk separation at ambient pressure, ADUs handle high feed rates with exceptional reliability.

  • Boiler-feed heating in furnaces followed by separation in flash zones—typical of crude distillation.
  • Applications: Crude oil, solvent recovery, alcoholic distillation, petrochemical feed prep.
  • Features: Large-diameter fractionation columns (up to ~15 m wide, 50 m tall) incorporating trays/packing and efficient pump-around reflux loops.

2. Vacuum Distillation Units (VDU)

Low-Temperature Separation for Heat-Sensitive & High-Boiling Products

Applied when thermal degradation is a concern, VDUs operate under reduced pressure.

  • Reduces boiling temperature, preventing decomposition and enhancing output yield.
  • Column features: large diameter, low-pressure-drop packed internals, typically maintained by steam jet ejectors or mechanical pumps.
  • Applications: Vacuum gas oils, resins, essential oil concentration, solvent recovery.

3. Multicomponent / Fractional Distillation Systems

Precision Separation of Complex Mixtures

For mixtures containing 3+ key components, our systems use advanced modelling to optimize column performance.

  • Multiple equilibrium stages with trays/packing, reflux-to-feed optimization, and integrated thermodynamic simulation.
  • Applications: Specialty solvent fractionation, essential oil purification, pesticide/active pharma ingredient separation.

4. Distillation Column Internals (Trays)

We supply a range of tray types—sieve, bubble-cap, valve—customized for optimal vapour-liquid contact.

5. Packed Distillation Columns

Our packed towers are engineered with structured or random packing to maximize contact area and minimize pressure drop.
